Ordering repeat prescriptions

Do not include clinical queries (such as new symptoms, medication changes, or medical concerns) in the message box when requesting repeat prescriptions through the NHS App

The prescription request function is for repeat medication requests only. If you need medical advice or have a clinical question, please either contact the surgery directly by phone or submit an online eConsult. Any clinical queries submitted via the NHS App prescription request system will not be actioned and will likely result in you receiving a message signposting you to the appropriate service instead. This may delay the care you need.

Order your prescription in person

You will receive a tear-off slip with each prescription. Please use this slip to request repeat medication. Tick the items you need and return the slip to the surgery.

Telephone Requests

We do not take request for medication over the telephone. 

• Please allow a minimum of three working days (72 hours) for your prescription to be ready. This is excluding the day the request is received by the practice.
• Pharmacies will have individual turn around times for collection of medication.  You should check with your nominated pharmacy for more information.

Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)

This service allows prescribers to send prescriptions electronically to a dispenser, such as a pharmacy, nominated by the patient. This makes the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient and convenient for patients and healthcare workers.
